Meet Sara Winter

Hi, I’m Sara! I’m a certified yoga therapist located in Austin, TX. My intention as a yoga therapist is to meet my clients wherever they are on their journey, pass on the profound teachings of yoga, and provide space for healing and growth. It is paramount to me that yoga therapy be accessible, inclusive and person-centered.

I have previously worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress, addiction and restricted movement. Please get in touch if you are interested in seeing how yoga therapy can transform your life.

Sara is a certified yoga therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT). She completed her 1000-hr yoga therapy training at Practice School of Yoga Therapy located in Austin, TX. In this in-depth training, she learned the nuances and subtleties in working with various life experiences, such as chronic pain, addiction & recovery, complex trauma, and cancer. She also gained knowledge on various yogic lenses to approach client care through the use of movement, breathwork, meditation and lifestyle recommendations.

Prior to this she completed a 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training in the Vinyasa style of yoga in 2016. Feeling a deep draw to yoga and it’s ability to connect people to their true essence, she delved into a 300-hr training with You Are Sacred School of Yoga. In this she learned other forms of yoga, finding greater appreciation for Yin yoga, Viniyoga, Yoga Nidra and slower styles of practice that focus on restoration. Her style of teaching is customized to the student and their needs and goals. She has experience working with individuals in with anxiety disorders as well as those in addiction recovery.
